Evangelism and Missions Degrees
Fulfillment of the Great Commission, (Matthew 28's instruction from Jesus to "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations..."), is the focus of this who serve in the ministry in Evangelism and Missions-focused positions. In Acts 1:8, just prior to His ascent ion into heaven, Jesus said, "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Notice that Jesus told them to make sure the good news was spread throughout their city (Jerusalem), their county (Judea), the neighboring county (Samaria), and every where else on the face of the earth. Evangelism is an effective method for spreading the good news throughout the city, county, state and elsewhere in America. Missions is an effective way for spreading the good news to the ends of the earth, as Jesus directed us to do. The curriculum of these degrees are designed to prepare those called by His Spirit to serve as evangelists and missionaries.
